1. Information we collect

  • Account data: You can use Oplio without signing up; the app then creates an anonymous account to store your data. If you choose to sign up, we collect your email address (it may be an Apple private relay address) so you can find your collection across devices.
  • Collection data: We store the cards you add to your collections, decks and wishlist, along with the details you enter (quantity, condition, language, purchase price).
  • Collection value history: To show how your collection’s value changes over time, we save once a day the estimated value and the number of cards of each of your collections. This history is kept for about 13 months.
  • Scan count: To apply scan limits, we count how many cards you scan (per week on the free plan, per day with Oplio Pro). We store only this number, not images or which cards you scanned.
  • Purchase data: If you subscribe to Oplio Pro, we store your subscription status (active, expiry date).

2. Camera and card scanning

Oplio uses your device’s camera only to identify trading cards, and only while the scanner is open. The camera image is read on your phone by Google ML Kit’s on-device text recognition: images and video never leave your device and are not stored. The card code is matched against a card catalogue downloaded to your phone. In Bulk mode, scanned cards stay on your phone until you add them to a collection.

Google ML Kit sends Google technical diagnostics about how text recognition performs: device model and system version, app version, a per-installation identifier that does not identify you, performance measurements and error codes. It does not receive images or the cards you scan.

Oplio 1.3 and earlier: in these versions, the photo of the card was sent to our server and to Google Cloud Vision to read the card code. The photo was processed only to identify the card and was not stored.

3. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely with Supabase (servers in the European Union), using encrypted connections. We do not sell your personal data or your collection data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

4. Third-party services

  • Apple handles payments. We never have access to your card details.
  • RevenueCat manages subscriptions. It receives your anonymous user ID and your purchase history to confirm your subscription status.
  • Google ML Kit reads the text on cards directly on your phone and sends Google technical diagnostics only (see section 2).
  • Google Cloud Vision reads the card code from photos sent by Oplio 1.3 and earlier (see section 2).
  • Supabase hosts our database and servers.
  • Cardmarket and CardTrader provide market prices. We only download their public price data; they receive no personal data from Oplio.

5. Your rights and data deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data (collections, decks, wishlist, value history, subscription status) at any time from the app’s settings. You can also contact us to access, correct or delete your data.

6. Contact us

For any privacy question or data request, contact us at benjamin.servian.pro@gmail.com.
